Mechanical Engineer
The candidate for this position should have experience in the design, specification and construction of HVAC, and plumbing systems for large commercial and residential projects. The candidate shall be responsible for preparing the cooling and heating load calculations, Manual J and D calculations, and FBC Chapter 13 Energy Code calculations. The air conditioning systems include direct expansion, chilled water and condenser water systems.
Some projects the candidate will perform on his or her own and others may be required to work as part of a team for successful completion of the project. Qualifications:
- BS Mechanical Engineering
- Florida PE or EIT
- Familiar with the Florida Building Codes
- Prior consulting engineering experience is a plus

Project Engineer
The candidate for this position must have consulting experience in the area of MEP for large commercial and residential projects. The candidate shall be responsible for managing multiple projects with profit and loss responsibility. He or she must be able to direct and supervise the work of subordinates and sub-consultants in a manner that promotes team work and personal growth for all members of the team. The candidate shall be capable of preparing or supervising the preparation of the cooling and heating load calculations, Manual J and D calculations, and FBC Chapter 13 Energy Code calculations. The candidate shall prepare a work breakdown structure for their projects and establish hourly budgets for completion of the individual tasks. The candidate must be highly committed to completing projects on schedule and under budget. The candidate must be highly-organized and able to address unusual projects with cost effective and innovative solutions.
Some projects the candidate will perform on his or her own. Most projects, he or she is responsible for directing the team for the over successful completion of the project. Drafter
The candidate must have experience in detailed design of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and residential facilities. Must have experience to include the preparation of plans and specifications for HVAC and related distribution systems and plumbing systems. Be proficient with AutoCAD MEP Building Systems. Knowledge of South Florida Building Codes related to mechanical and plumbing requirements.
Demonstrate an ability to plan, execute and take responsibility for assigned projects. Have experience with system design and layout, specifications, site analysis, shop drawing review, equipment selection, and mechanical computation.
Qualifications:
- Technical training in AutoCAD 2004 or greater
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good math skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- HVAC /Plumbing design required

Fire Sprinkler Designer
The candidate must possess ability to create and revise drawings and construction documents from computations, sketches and/or verbal instructions using TYCO Fire Sprinkler software. Must have experience with physical layouts and elevations, bills of material, schematics, schedules, and site analysis. The candidate must have experience in a diverse range of project types.
Familiarity with architectural and structural drawings, and building code requirements for fire protection.
Be able to discuss technical aspects of design with review agencies and facilitate review progress and comment resolution.
Qualifications:
- Associate/BS degree is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good math skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Will consider construction or related field experience
